LA River transforming in LA version of Central Park.

I spent a few weeks exploring the Los Angeles River and shooting images for an article in UCLA Magazine's January 2015 issue.  I was assigned to do this picture project by the magazine's design director Charlie Hess.  The article talks about the "Play the LA River" program designed to bring people to the 51 mile waterway to relax and explore.  My mission was to photograph Angelenos and the LA River from its origins in Canoga Park to the Long Beach estuary where it flows into the Pacific Ocean.  Here are a few of the images.
