Desert Carnival.

On Memorial Day we headed towards “Yuccaland” to see what was happening in the hot Mojave Desert. On our road trip we noticed a little family amusement carnival just off the road in a small sandy lot. We found out that there were only a few hours left of the fun so I quickly took out my Canon and a zoom lens and started taking pictures. The charming, slightly rusted rides shined bright against the desert backdrop. The rides may have been touched by time and looked like they might have been hit by harsh desert storms, but the smiles on the children faces were timeless. The beaming sun and dry air were no match for the imagination of the kids. It was a small man made oasis harnessing all of the magic the Yucca Valley has to offer.
